Thank you for your Repair Request submission. You will receive an email notification from CVX Game Console Repair within 24 hrs. providing you with detailed Shipping instructions for Mail-In repairs, or with directions to our Local Drop Off store if you live within, or travel thru the Cedar Falls, IA area.
Please note that you must 'print' and 'tape' the above mentioned reply email that you will receive from CVX Game Console Repair to your console 'prior' to either Shipping or Drop Off so that we will know who the console came from. Your submitted Repair Request order will be kept in our database for 10 business days and will be removed if your console is not 'received' within that timeframe.
You will receive a 'second' email notification from CVX Game Console Repair once we physically receive your console either by Mail, or Pick up from our local store. A 'third' email notification will be sent by CVX Game Console Repair once your console has been repaired providing you with detailed instructions for online credit card, or paypal payment thru the appropriate console / device type 'Repairs' page within our website based on the services performed. Typical repair completion turnaround is within 3-5 business days (excluding Holidays) following 'receipt' of your console or device.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does the repair process work?
Just click on the Repair Request page and enter all of the information requested then click submit. You will then receive a reply email from CVX game console repair within 24 hours that you will need to print and tape to your console along with either our Local Drop Off location, and or our shipping address of where to send it. Upon receipt of your console you will receive a 'receipt confirmation' email from CVX. You will then be notified by email within 3-5 business days after your repairs have been completed requesting payment.
How do I pay?
Unlike other sites, CVX game console repair does 'not' charge you in advance for any repairs. Upon successful repair of your console you will receive an email notification from CVX requesting payment to be made per the appropriate 'add cart' paypal buttons reflecting the services performed which can be found on the relating game console repair page. We do not accept checks, or money orders. Upon receipt of payment for the repair services noted along with the return freight, we will then ship your repaired unit back to you, or notify you of the time your console will be available for pickup at our Local Drop Off location if applicable.
How can I check on the status of my repair?
You may simply email us at anytime from the Contact Us page to check on the status of your repair order. Your console's serial number is used as your order and tracking number as it is unique to your specific console. In the event your serial number is not legible on the console, then we will use your provided phone number. Please reference your serial number for any status inquiries.
What is your repair turnaround time?
Our standard repair turnaround is 3-5 business days after 'receipt' of your console. You will be notified if the repair timeframe will exceed this due to the need for any special order parts that may be required in order to complete the repair.
What if my console has been previously opened or repaired?
Not a problem, we will accept any consoles for repair regardless of any previous repair attempts made by yourself and or other repair shops. Any prior repairs however, may have an impact on the successfull repairability of your unit.
Should I send any accessories with my console?
Absolutely not, we do not need them and it would just cost you more in shipping and handling. We only require the console itself, without any hard drive, memory cards, power supply or A/V cables. Also be sure to check your DVD drive to remove any recently played games. We have dedicated test stations with all of the necessary equipment to fully test and diagnose your console regardless of model or year of manufacture.
How should I package my console for shipment?
It is best to visit the specific carrier's website that you choose to ship your console thru to ensure it is properly packaged and insured in case of any loss or damage. Please also be aware that CVX game console repair will 'not' use the same packaging received for return of your console. Nor will CVX return and repackage any original OEM packaging materials, or other original console packaging materials.
Do you offer a Warranty on your services?
Yes, CVX game console repair offers a Full 30-Day Warranty on all completed repair services. Our full Repair Service Agreement can be found at the end of this section. The warranty period begins on the date of your paid repair.
What if you are not able to repair my unit?
Not all consoles are repairable based on the extent of the damage and the particular error code generated by the unit. A CVX game console repair representative will contact you after initial console diagnosis, and or after any repair attempts have been made should they determine that a repair is not feasible based on the condition of the unit. In any such instance, you will not be charged for the diagnosis and may be offered a defective console purchase amount if there are salvageable parts in good condition. Other options include the return of the console after payment receipt for the return shipping and handling or a parts console credit toward one of our refurbished units (based on availability).
Do you accept local drop off's to avoid shipping & handling if I live in the area?
Yes, we are contracted with a local retail store that is setup to receive your console for a one time $5 fee that is paid 'directly' to the retail location....not CVX, in return for the service. You do not have to pay again to pickup your unit afterward. We have 24 hour video surveilance to ensure the safety of your console from drop off to pick up. What happens to any game consoles that do not get paid for?
This is referred to as Abandonment. If after thirty (30) days from the date we repaired your console, you have not paid for the repairs or have not returned our phone calls or emails, said items become the property of CVX game console repair. Your console and/or parts will be considered abandoned.
REPAIR SERVICE & WARANTY AGREEMENT
Upon submission of any Console Repair Requests, I am authorizing CVX game console repair to perform work on my video game console or electronic device. I understand CVX is not an authorized service dealer. Further, I agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless CVX from liability for any claims or damages of any kind or description that may arise from any game console or electronic work performed on my video game console or electronic device. I understand that CVX game console repair is not responsible for any loss, which may occur as a result of work performed on my video game console or electronic device.
I understand that not all video game consoles can be repaired (non-repairable) due to faulty manufacturing or severe damage that has been done to the primary chips, other electronic components, wiring, or their relating connectivity. I understand that CVX game console repair offers no verbal or written warranty, either expressed or implied, regarding the success of any diagnostic or repair attempts.
I certify that I am the expressed owner of the video game console or electronic device submitted for repair. In the event I am found not to be the true owner of this video game console or electronic device, I assume all liability for any claim made as a result of the technical support rendered by CVX game console repair on this video game console or electronic device, including those claims which assert negligence on the part of CVX.
I understand that any repairs rendered by CVX game console repair will void any existing manufacturer warranties for this video game console or electronic device.
I expressly waive all claims against CVX game console repair for any damages to this video game console or electronic device or data that are incidental to the repair process rendered by CVX. Customer understands that some repairs may require extensive labor requiring additional time or ordering of parts that may not be immediately available, and I will not hold CVX game console repair responsible for any reasonable extensions of any previously agreed upon repair time estimates either expressed or implied. Most repair services can be completed within 3-5 business days after 'receipt' of the console.
I understand that I am responsible for the retrieval of the video game console or electronic device within thirty (30) days of being notified by CVX game console repair that the repair has been completed, regardless if the device is in working order or not. Any video game console or electronic device not picked up within the specified thirty (30) day period will be considered abandoned and will become the property of CVX.
CVX game console repair warrants to the customer that CVX's product or service shall be free from defect in material and workmanship for thirty (30) days from the date of shipment or pickup. CVX's sole obligations under this warranty shall be to either 1) repair the product using either new or refurbished parts with the customer to pay shipping to CVX and CVX will pay for the return shipping back to the customer 2) refund the repair amount 'less' $15 for the original console diagnostic evaluation which was included in the original repair amount. CVX will not reimburse any prior shipping and handling related charges.
It will be at the sole discretion of CVX to choose one of the above remedies for any warranty claim requests. Warranty claims are only valid if they are for the exact same issue as was originally repaired or replaced and only covers warranty claims up to 3 repairs for the same exact issue after which the warranty for that console becomes null and void.
CVX game console repair warranty is 'void' if any of the applied security measures both external and internal have been tampered with in any way upon return of a unit, or if the original parts have been swapped out or modded in any way.
